Josep Rius-Camps - Jenny Read-Heimerdinger, «The Variant Readings of the Western Text of the Acts of the Apostles (XVII) (Acts 11:19–12:25).», Vol. 18 (2005) 135-166
The present section deals with the events concerning the conversion of Peter (Acts 9:31–11:18) whereby he at last comes to understand that the good news of Jesus is for Jews and Gentiles alike. Since the Greek pages of Codex Bezae are missing from 8:29 to 10:14 and the Latin ones from 8:20b to 10:4, we have noted in the Critical Apparatus the variants of other witnesses that differ from the Alexandrian text. From 10:4b (fol. 455a), the Latin text of Codex Bezae is available. The Greek text starts at 10:14b (fol. 455b).

in B03, the use of the preposition can be explained by the fact that this
is the first time that the disciples address Rhoda. It is unusual, however,
for a preposition to be used for a conversation between two speakers that
does not continue (see next variant below). In D05, in contrast, the dative
case is an indication that the disciples were not intending to engage with
Rhoda in the conversation she had initiated, as their disparaging com-
ment implies. When her insistence forces them to take notice of her, they
then address her in a more direct manner (see next variant below).

D05 specifies the addressee of the disciples’ comment about the person
knocking at the door as Rhoda. On the use of the preposition, see variant
above. In B03, where the disciples have previously engaged in conversation
with Rhoda, their comment would now seem to be addressed to no-one in
particular but is made as a suggestion among themselves.
τυχ ν is read only here and as a variant at Lk. 20:13 D05 in the whole
of the New Testament.

The word order of D05 may well have arisen because of the presence
of τυχ ν at the beginning of the disciples’ sentence according to that text
(see previous variant above).

Peter is mentioned by name in B03. The reference to him by the simple
pronoun in D05 is an indication that the spotlight has been on Peter
throughout this incident.

D05 uses the compound verb which is the more difficult reading (there
is no other use of it in the New Testament), but it may be translated
‘opened up’ as if the house were securely locked up as, indeed, it may well
have been in the middle of the night.

B03, having started the sentence with a participle (see previous vari-
ant), continues with two finite verbs conjoined with κα . D05, in contrast,
has a series of two participles conjoined with κα and followed by a finite
verb ( ξ στησαν) preceded by an adverbial κα . The main notion of
