In still other cases, in addition to the ones already mentioned, a letter has been erased and another letter written over it. In 1,18 an original oun seems to have been converted to sun in this way; in 2,2 h odoj has been converted to h doca by putting a line through the first o, erasing the j and writing c over it, and adding an a at the end of the line; in 2,3 what looks like an original ekporeusontai was con- verted into enporeusontai by erasing the k and writing n over it; in 2,4 what looks like an original h was converted into ei by writing it over the h; in that same verse an original zofoij has been con- verted into zofou by putting a line through the final s and changing the i into u; in 3,4 a letter has been erased and replaced by a k with an extra stroke serving as an abbreviation for kai.
